- Choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
- Open Echoes from the new home-screen icon.
Home-screen installation is required before iOS can deliver Echoes Web Push call alerts.

Installation steps
Install Echoes from your browser.
Button names can vary slightly by browser version. Echoes also offers its own Install banner when a native prompt is available.
Install from Chrome
- Open callechoes.com/app in Chrome.
- Use Echoes’ Install banner, or open Chrome’s menu.
- Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm, then launch Echoes from your app list.
If Chrome does not offer installation yet, use Echoes in the browser and try again after returning to the app.
Install from Chrome or Edge
- Open callechoes.com/app.
- Select the install icon in the address bar, when shown.
- Alternatively, open the browser menu and choose Install Echoes.
- Confirm to add Echoes to your launcher or dock.
Safari and Firefox support varies; Echoes always remains available as a normal browser app.

Contacts and repeat calls
Save a caller, then ring them again.
After a completed person-to-person call, save the other participant with a name. They appear in Recents, ready for a one-tap translated call.

After the call connects, either person can save the other.

The contact stays in your local app or browser profile.
Ring them again
Tap their contact; if unavailable, Echoes can leave a missed call and offer a link.
Call alerts
You decide whether Echoes may notify you.
After saving a contact, Echoes can ask whether you want call alerts. Permission is opt-in, can be changed in the app and operating-system settings, and does not guarantee delivery when a device is offline or notifications are silenced.

What installation changes.
The guest you invite never has to follow these steps.
Do I have to install Echoes to join a call?−
No. Any invitee can open an Echoes link in a modern browser and join without an account or installation. Installing is optional and most useful for people who want to save contacts and make repeat calls.
What does the installed Echoes app add?+
The PWA gives Echoes a home-screen or app-launcher icon and a standalone window. Inside Echoes, you can save people after a call, see recent contacts, ring them again with one tap, and enable call alerts on supported devices.
Where are my saved contacts kept?+
Contacts, recent-call history, recaps, and saved phrases stay in that browser or installed app profile. They do not automatically sync to another phone or browser, and clearing site data can remove them.
Can Echoes alert me when the app is closed?+
On supported devices, yes, after you explicitly enable call alerts. On iPhone and iPad, Echoes must first be added to the Home Screen before Web Push alerts can work. Browser and operating-system notification settings still apply.
Does installing Echoes make calls work offline?+
No. Echoes is a live calling and translation service, so calls, presence, and alerts require an internet connection. The PWA is an installable experience, not an offline translator.
