Echoes is a real-time voice translation calling app. Two people each pick the language they speak, then talk on a voice or video call while hearing each other in their own language, translated live with on-screen captions.

Do I need an account to use Echoes?

No. Echoes needs no account, sign-up, or email. You open the site, pick your language, and share a link to start a call.

Which languages does Echoes support?

Fifteen languages are selectable. Thirteen are fully supported: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian, and Vietnamese. Turkish and Arabic are available as a preview.

Yes. Echoes is currently free to use, with no account and no payment. Calls are not recorded: audio is processed live by OpenAI to produce the translation, and Echoes stores no transcripts.

Contacts, call history, and saved phrases are stored only in your browser. The server keeps only a minimal presence record (a random device id, an optional name, and your language) and no transcripts or IP addresses. Call audio is processed by OpenAI to produce the translation.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Echoes runs in the browser. You can optionally install it as a Progressive Web App for call alerts; on iOS, add it to the home screen to receive push notifications.

Can I try Echoes without another person?

Yes. The test call connects you to Echo, an AI partner that speaks another language, so you can hear the live translation experience on your own.
